Java For Catia V6
I am new to Catia V6 (have experience with installing &administering V4 and V5) in small engineering organisation (nodatabase).
My goal is to make Catia V6 run (I have bought products:CAT+MEK+PLMExpress) with an installation as thin/simple as possiblefor the moment.
I have a full set of V6R2010x DVD's (PLM Express, Enovia LiveCollaboration, Enovia3D Live. But these DVD's look like a 'jungle'to me. I can not find a document saying what to install, why, inwhat order, considerations.
Exploring the DVD's shows it is a jungle of files (including largezip files).
I have installed Catia V6 (PLM Express DVD).
I have installed Enovia V6 (Enovia Live Collaboration DVD)
I have installed Enovia 3D Live (Enovia 3D Live DVD)
Question 1: do I need to buy other products tomake Catia V6 run (DB2, Oracle, Microsoft SQL, MYSQL?) Or do theDassault V6 DVD's contain all that is needed to run without buyingadditional products?
Starting Catia (or Enovia) will bring up a 'Connect' panel(obiously to connect to a database). I can not find anydocumentation on how to setup the actual connection (there are 3 or4 panels to fill in to make the connection).
Question 2: does anyone have a document thathe/she wants to share on how to perform a minimal install, and howto perform such install from A to Z?

the thing is i have to assemble the catpart file of v5 in v6 and v6 only let igs file to import so ,is there anyway i could convert catpart file to igs or other supported format in v6

Hi, It's the good process ... but it can be easier .... dont mark the 'use mapping table' at Step 2 .... dircetly importation ...
You can Import CATIA parts created in V5 into V6. Remember downward compatibility of V5 to V6 is still not supported. E.g. you can not import a part created in V5R22 in V6 2011x.

If I go to PLM Access > Import
there are only two options are showing that is 3DXML & File, but it is not showing CATIA file import option. Please help if you know the answer on my mail id chetan.sasane@adccinfocad.com
Hi, I have another question that arises from importing. I was prompted this dialog box 'You must define the environment before running this command.' Can any of you advise on this issue?

and i have active in enovia the command import and export that's i use in catia
but now when i want propagate or import i see this message:
